That’s a lot more than a forty of King Cobra!
Oh. The snake. I was kinda hopin’ a Mustang was involved. Nevermind....
No one said anything about keeping the snake though.
Time to start building a supply of anti-venom.
What kind of moron would keep a cobra as a pet?
“You can’t bring that in here!”
“It’s just my Service Cobra, Fluffy.”
“You’re insane!”
“Yes I am. Fluffy helps keep me calm.”
IBSEPS
in before someone else pings salamander
people in Florida need to take driving lessons from Texans.
We had some kind of Cobra get loose and it did not make it a quarter mile before someone drove over it and killed it.
I grew up on the edge of Jackson MS near Yudan about a decade earlier in an area now ghetto which spawned David Banner....gangsta rap southern black style
We were on edge of rural with creeks and swamps and deep woods
Full of water moccasins and southern diamondbacks ....big fat enormous headed pit vipers the latter
Folks got bit
We had neighbors with 4 teen boys who caught them and kept a dozen in a terrarium type tank
They would handle the biggest rattler a bit especially if wasn’t hungry
Nobody messed with the cottonmouths....they would strike a stick like nothing
I think rattlers could sense human arm?
We’d all catch rodents to watch them feed
One rattler was so big he had his own tank
He got out one day and momma laid down the law
They took the snakes out on a nearby farm and let them all go
I inherited some decent sized corn snakes....they lived to bite me
AND THEY'RE HEADING NORTH!
This photo, posted on Facebook, shows 'Airplane Repo' star Mike Kennedy, of Orlando, with one of his king cobra snakes. Kennedy reported one of his cobras missing Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2015. (Facebook/Mike Kennedy)
Judy Brown and other neighbors who live near the ranch said they were very concerned about a venomous snake getting loose in the woods near their homes.
"Snakes are extremely versatile and extremely good climbers, and so is this one," said Brown. "He's eight feet now, but could grow to 18. When are they going quit looking, and will they find it? I just don't have any confidence they'll find it in that deep woods."

I don’t care if someone is a experienced snake handler, the State should make rules for keeping them that are so onerous that no one would ever be endangered. No excuses.
And if a snake does evade the precautions through the handlers negligence or just an act of God like a hurricane, the handler/owner should be criminally liable for any injury or death caused by the snake.
If a damn King cobra got loose and killed my child, I’d be tempted to take the law into my own hands. He’d be praying to make it to trial.
My dog has gotten out of my fenced yard a couple of times; I have gotten her back each time.
She is a chocolate lab. That is a non-venomous species of canine.
