I’ve heard of putting a tiger in your tank....but not a kitten in your tank.

This has to be a community outreach feel-good setup.
What idiotic moron couldn’t get a kitten out of an engine compartment.
We’re failing as a society.

Back in the day, cars had a wider fan belt. So, my uncle goes to start his car, not realizing that the cat had gone to sleep on his fan belt for a nice warm nap. No more kitty. What a mess.

30 years ago I rescued (the REAL definition, not the mere adopting/buying thing) - and kept - a kitten from a Cadillac engine and didn’t get no news story....
Also rescued (OK, well it was really my aunt and mom though I was so afraid for that cat) and kept another kitten from a nutjob child; no fanfare....

See for yourself, the engine purrs like a kitten!

The Weather Girl Kristina is not too bad either, what with her pleasant voice and hourglass figure.

Around 1963 we were living in Keams Canyon in Northern AZ. Got cold up there in the Winter. One morning my old man started his 57 Ford pickup for the ride to work and there was a cat under the hood laying on the engine. The poor thing was twisted up all through the fan belt like a pretzel. Took my Pop about 10 minutes to get it out and the cat spent all nine of his lives that morning.
