Leftists emptied the insane asylums for fear they’d be institutionalized. And appropriately so.

I think our leftist mass killer rate is damn near 99%.

And Leftists always fear the Military because Leftists see themselves in the position of dictators in other countries that are often overthrown by their militaries. Even the Soviets feared their military and tried to hem it in by parallel military organizations and political officers within the military who did not answer to anyone in the military and had life and death say-so over privates and generals. The soviets were ultimately, in fact, betrayed by their military that refused to fire on the Duma and Yeltsin.

Leftists are for abortion because they believe they have the right to kill some people for the "benefit" of other people, primarily themselves. They hate Capital Punishment, at least that CP adjucated by courts that don't act according to their direction, because they know they are transgressing societal and natural norms and fear retribution i.e. they worry that the society they are eroding will impose capital punishment on them. Abortion is okay because they are already beyond its reach, being born and adult.
