That is the downside of traveling.

Interesting. We were there from 83-86. Traveled all over the country and all over PaP. The Tonton Macoutes kept the people in complete fear which lead to some semblance of "stability".
The deshoukage that took place after Baby-doc's departure in 1986 freed the people of the Tonton Macoutes but brought in a new wave of gang/political terrorism that is just one part of the ongoing disaster that is Haiti.
