It's no secret that Ashley Madison has fake female profiles to engage users -- heck, it's even noted in the ToS that the website "is geared to provide you with amusement and entertainment." When its user data was leaked to the public, though, people got a chance to see just how many women there are on the website exactly, and how many of them are definitely fake. Gizmodo editor-in-chief Annalee Newitz took a closer look at the data dump in an effort to determine the site's female population and found that barely any of the 5.5 million profiles marked as "female" actually used the website.
Newitz examined several factors to get to that conclusion. First, she checked email addresses and found around 10,000 accounts that use the ashleymadison.com domain, which is a sure sign that they're fake. Next, she discovered that 68,709 female profiles were created from a single IP: 127.0.0.1. That means they were created from a "home" computer located within the company's HQ. I heard a caller on a call in show the other day, who said he used Ashley Madison.
He said that he contacted some actual women from the site. But the “real” women he met steered their interactions towards how much money he could spend.
In other words, “real” women on that sites are looking for a sugar daddy, or are just prostitutes.

Like almost every other stateside dating site? If a gentleman wants to converse with live, real women who might be interested in marriage, his best bet is one of the foreign dating sites, particularly one that feature women from the Philippines or some such.

Locally in Rochester, a 76 year old very prominent attorney just got arrested in a prostitution raid. Defense will probably be....nothing happened..heh heh heh. But it still cost him $200.
There’s a whole other topic which could become a big thread. But there is a small but growing movement towards American men wanting to meet women who were raised in other cultures. American men are rejecting modern liberal American women.

I see where this is going, but it won’t help - just because the women are fake is no excuse for all the politicos that signed up. Its trashy even as “amusement only”.

The roach motels on Staten Island are full of prostitutes that use these sites. You’d think they’d be easy to shut down.
