I think this is really an Apple/Mac thread, from an unabashed pro-Apple site (MacWorld UK), and with a foregone conclusion. Calling in the Windows crowd is asking for them to trash the useful things the thread has for Apple/Mac folks. I mean,... I was seriously considering not even pinging the Apple list. . . because it was so obviously too early to do a proper comparison. OS X.11 El Capitan is still in Beta. . . but damn, I was just contracting for the popcorn concession on this thread.

What a dumbnass name, El Capitan. Who is in charge there besides enfant terrible Tim Kook Kook? Why is it a dumbnass (sic) name? It is the name of the most prominent rock formation in Yosemite which rises 3000 feet essentially vertical from base to peak:
