There was an interview with Trump. He is on Brady’s side...
How can you compare I guy who didn’t deflate a football with a guy who ingests steroids himself in his own body.
Steroids are a banned substance and against the law except by physician prescriptions.
Drop the case. Bye the way why are we not taxing the NFL to pay down the deficit?
Cheating pays off.
Then came the refusal by Brady to give up his cell phone. The is nothing in the collective bargaining agreement that requires a player to surrender his cell phone. Brady was right not to give up his personal info.
Hopefully, the judge is starting to see through the NFL dishonesty and will disallow all penalties.
It will be great to see the Patriots with Brady against the Steelers in the season opener.
They and their fans deserve it.
Grown men playing a children’s game does not deserve a docket in our courts alongside actual problems.
Brady jock sniffers at it again. After first court meeting the sniffers all hailed Brady’s great performance and the Judges leaning toward him. Then we learned Brady is willing to accept a suspension but not for cheating, pnly for obstruction. Question is what’s to obstruct if you are not guilty and WHY did pats pay the fine if they did nothing wrong?
Brady’s rep is shot at this point and the longer he drags this out the worse he looks. As of now over 70% of NFL fans believe he was involved in the cheating and as we all know perception is reality.
All Brady’s past accomplishments are being called onto question as will his future ones. And all the jock sniffers, like this author are beside themselves because the object of their fantasy has lost his luster.
Yeah well ... meaningless. I’ve had more than one Judge say “I have a problem with ...” and ultimately rule the other way.
If anyone ever finds a way to read the tea leaves from judicial comments they will make a fortune.
Has Goodell come out and mandated that the refs provide and maintain all game balls now?
Brady is being punished because he’s white.
The Judge is pointing out issues both sides have in the positions they are presenting. He is trying to get the parties to settle what is by most accounts a childish argument. The Judge has also advised it could take years to settle and drag all the dirty laundry out of their respective closets which the Judge will make public as he did with the appeal transcript.
In the end, the question before the judge to rule on has nothing to do with whether Brady is innocent or guilty of tampering with game balls. The legal question before the judge is whether or not Goodell violated the terms of the CBA in administering the fines for Brady. On that, the NFL has a strong, likely winnable case. The integrity of the game and conduct detrimental to the league provisions of the agreement are as widely interpretable as a Bill Clinton deposition.
The NFLPA, which is representing Brady, negotiated and signed the CBA with Robert Kraft playing the role of lead negotiator for the owners. Just another case of both sides trying to be a league or not, a union or not, as it suits their collective or individual interest at the moment.
In the end, common sense suggests both sides guilty of crapping in their own nest.
I knew Brady was guilty the minute this was brought up I the post-game presser. He is a very bad actor.
And as a side note, I suspect that every team in the NFL adjusts the pressure in their footballs to the satisfaction of their quarterbacks prior to each game........
