It was supposed to be a quick trip to Wal-Mart on Midway Road and Interstate 635 on Saturday night, instead 29-year-old Linda Oh found herself face to face with a gun.

She said she was just about to get in her car when two men pulled up in a four-door silver Nissan Murano.

But she was carrying around $3,000 worth of belongings...to go shopping at Wal-Mart?

As other Freepers said, these were her personal belongings including the fancy purse.
Did she have to carry around so many valuables to go shopping? When I go shopping, I often don’t even carry a purse.

From the name she sounds Asian. I’ve seen some of those women in dallas and elsewhere who are oblivious to surroundings. Throw in the location and time, I would have been surprised if she didn’t get robbed.

Just making the point that she was a robbery waiting to happen.
She probably has poor peripheral vision. This is why Asian people are such poor drivers. Other than that, she handled herself well, handed over the stupid ‘steal me’ purse and stayed cool and low key during the robbery. Oblivious, she didn’t realize that carrying that purse around is like flashing a roll of hundred dollar bills in a saloon.
Not only that — it arrived in one of those eeeevil SUVs

And should it be that way? Hell if I had a Rolex (not really interested in owning one...I'm a t-shirt and jeans and timex type) I would wear it proudly.....and proudly make anyone who covets it forcibly with a firearm achieve room temperature. We need to live in a society that those who think of practicing anti social behavior (ie thuggery) would think twice.
The idiot is lucky to be alive. The idea of a $300.00 pistol in that $2000.00 purse never entered the sheep’s mind.

Doesn’t take much to get to $3000 of possessions before any cash or other jewelery.
A Nice pen for a ladies purse can run $400. All of these are Items you could easily get over a lifetime of gifts from loved ones.
