The owner of a fast food restaurant in Austin, Texas shocked his 50 employees by paying their full salaries during a five-month period when the business shut down.
Jeff Glover, who has operated the Chick-fil-A for 15 years, wanted to remodel the building to accommodate more customers, but didnt want to hurt his workers. So he continued paying them for the full five months.
The restaurant, which reopened this week at West Braker Lane and U.S. 183, is now the largest Chick-fil-A in Austinand surely the chicken retailer with the biggest heart.

Yep. And never estimate the value of brand loyalty and good will. This gesture will pay dividends forever.

Nice to see some good news. Wonderful company and great businesses in general. Can’t wait to get home and have a spicy chicken biscuit!
I can’t even begin to imagine one of the phony millionaire or billionaire lefties being so generous and considerate.
This GREAT!! I can’t WAIT to see the coverage on the Network news....oh wait......
Can’t play the video, but am estimating something in the neighborhood of $600K came out of the owmer’s pocket to do that. Wow!
I hope all those employees return his loyalty. Great boss to work for.
Bless the owner.
PleaseChick- fil-A please open up near me.
I read that yesterday... how nice. Would a liberal do that???

Last month the gm from chick fil a called Franklin Graham despicable for questioning why we let so many Muslims into the country. I called them to voice my anger and tell them I won’t be eating there again. Please consider doing the same. Google it. Can’t link from my phone.
I am fundraising for an animal rescue gala and stopped by a nearby Chick Fil A to ask for a donation. I spoke to the owner and the response was instant, “What do you want?” I went big and he didn’t even blink. “Done.”
He and his wife are very active in church and are known for their kindness and generosity. Just good people.
Ummm... nope.
I wont let the opinion of one employee change my life and doubtful anyone else here will either, especially knowing what we know about Truett Cathy, his family and the business he built.
Oh you know if Hillary had the opportunity, she would do the same! Lol. I just cracked myself up.
No I won’t stop going there at all, based on what you have said and about one guy.
