VIDEO: Watch Ann Coulter Destroy Anti-Trump Hack on Hannity
8/13/2015 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 08/14/2015 8:35:54 AM PDT by conservativejoy

Sean Hannity invited Charles Cooke from National Review on tonight to debate Ann Coulter on the rise of Donald Trump.

Cooke went on the attack right at the start but Ann Coulter let him have it. Via Hannity:

The Blaze reported on the exchange:

“ National Review reporter Charles Cooke appeared on the Fox News Channel Thursday night and confronted host Sean Hannity and guest Ann Coulter about their apparent support for Republican presidential contender Donald Trump.

“I am just astonished by the collective insanity that seems to have marked the conservative movement over the last month,” Cooke said, reacting to Hannity saying Trump’s plan to have Mexico pay for a border wall “makes sense.”

“What’s astonishing about it?” Hannity interjected. “I have been saying secure the border for years and years and years.”

“No, no — I don’t mean secure the border. I mean that Donald Trump, who has put forth no plan whatsoever except to pretend that Mexico is going to pay for a wall, is being taken seriously,” Cooke responded.

“Excuse me! That’s not true. What you’re saying is not true,” Hannity shot back. “He said that he would build a wall. He said he would build it expeditiously. He said he would help get Mexico to pay for it. He would either force them through not giving them aid or tariffs. That’s a specific plan.”

Cooke wasn’t convinced.

“I think what the objections are is that you have a man in the Republican debate who praises single-payer. You have a man still talking about funding Planned Parenthood. You have a man who has flip-flopped perhaps on the wealth tax and on gun control. A man, who on any other circumstances, would have been laughed at through the primary,” the National Review reporter contended.

Coulter said that Cooke’s examples weren’t “really true,” calling them an “exaggeration of his earlier positions.

. . . the National Review reporter contended.

Is NR still shilling for their dead horse Jeb? I hear there is a town in Alaska named after him.

Anne Coulter is hardly a shining example of Stability.

The Anne Coulter of 2011 had this to say.

Coulter calls Trump a ‘clown,’ rips gay marriage in GWU speech

“I think Trump is a clown,” Coulter said during an appearance sponsored by Young America’s Foundation at George Washington University. “I expect the enthusiasm for him is based on two things: that the rest of at least the declared candidates aren’t exciting anybody, and there’s name recognition. And he has come out like gangbusters against the Obama administration like an establishment politician probably wouldn’t.”

Coulter went on to rip Trump for his donations to Democratic political campaigns. “It’s all just a big act for the moment,” she said. “History for liberals always begins today. It’s very easy to say the right thing that’s only appealing at a certain time.”

Coulter also dismissed Trump’s claims that President Obama may have been born in Kenya. The “birther conspiracy,” she said, was “started by the Hillary Clinton campaign,” and subsequently disproved by conservatives who looked into it.

And today, she herself happily pimps the Cruz Birther BS.

Ann didn’t “destroy” anybody.

If you read the transcript, she’s not convincing at all.

Shouting “that’s not true” is not a winning argument.....especially when she’s wrong.

Ann and Sean have enough money to retire comfortably today. They can say whatever they dare to say. Cooke still needs lots more paychecks before he has that liberty. And I’m sure with this attempted hit he was looking for a bonus.

I heard some Coulter clips on Redeye Radio with Harley and McNamara last night. Frankly, Ann’s excuses for Trump’s flip flops were strained at best.
Now, Trump on Levin was pretty good! Bob

Ann has become a schizophrenic disaster. She was on Hannitys radio show arguing that Trump is the ONLY conservative in the race...it was laughable and incredibly sad.

She has truly become just a shilling prostitute for whatever her definition of “conservative” is today....but don’t worry it’ll change tomorrow. Truly crossed the rubicon into CINO land

“When exactly did Coulter give up her Christie crush?”

You need to get through that. It is old.

I won’t blame Trump for Coulter being a loon, just warn him and others that she isn’t exactly the best person to have in your corner.

She’s an attention gathering personality, who works the political right. She makes a good living at at.

In the end, Coulter is arm waving entertainment, not a political visionary.

either way she did demonstrate this british accented national review dc beltway buffoon is clueless about the electorate.

I can see and hear voters actually PUBLICLY talking about Trump. PUBLICLY!! without hiding their interest.

I have not seen that since Reagan.

"national review dc beltway buffoon"

That "beltway buffoon" as you call him is also one of the strongest defenders of the second amendment you'll find in the scribbler universe. He is NR's go to guy on the matter of gun rights.

After reading him on NR for several year, I certainly don't agree with Cooke on every issue. But he's hardly a beltway stooge. On conservative issues in general, I'll bet he's far more solid than Trump.

Not me, I want the two loons as cozy as they can get to one another...they’re both CINO’s...and the sooner they both go away, the better.

It was probably when Christie demonstrated that, line every RINO, he would drop his supporters like a hot potato in exchange for some friendly stroking from the enemy, to the extent that he would start sounding and acting like them.

This may very well happen to Trump as well, but for now he’s useful in directing the well-deserved ire at the Quislings in the GOP establishment, and there’s nothing at all wrong with that.

My sentiments exactly. During the whole emotional charged time of Newtown, Cooke was on the front lines defending the 2nd Ammendment. As for the other two, Coulter is for Coulter. If she can sell more books or get herself on TV she will say just about anything. Hannity is just Hannity, he is as dumb as a box of hammers.

Ann didn’t "destroy" anybody.

Okay then.

She slammed.
She bashed.
She decimated.
She obliterated.
She unleashed a cold, hard fury.

As long as we draw readers it's all good.

The irony is that in 2012, Romney was probably the toughest on immigration than any candidate. You know who attacked him over his tough stance on immigration, remember this was 3 years ago, not 30. Trump was the guy.
