I often comparison shop items and that would be obsolete it seems. A Dell XPS13 2015 Newest Model has a 5th Generation Intel Core i5-5200U 2.2GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology up to 2.7GHz and a 52 WHr, 4-cell Li-Polymer Battery for up to 15 hrs, for $875.00 & FREE Shipping at Amazon .

WHoop-de-doo. . . $124 lower price at a DISCOUNT seller is still NOT 3 to 4 times difference in price. That MacBook Air price I quoted to you came from the APPLE ONLINE STORE and the DELL PRICE I QUOTED came from DELL.COM and was their newest model from them at $899. You could configure the 13" XPS for the higher GHz but it just clocked faster. Same Intel i5. Both have the same model Intel processor with the same boost to 2.7Ghz in them. Apple just chooses to not have overheating problems by not overclocking.

You don't compare pricing from some other source than the manufacturer. Both are the latest available from each manufacturers. . . and Dell and Apple ONLINE PRICING. . . at $899. You can even get a refurbished version from Apple for less. Same warranty as new.

Either way you look at it your initial claim of the Apple computers being three to four times more expensive as Windows was BUNK and easily proved to be. For your assertion to have been correct, the Dell would have to sell for $200 to $300. It doesn't.

Interesting stats here (including that in 2009, approximately 80% of software sold in China was pirated)

If you’re insinuating that the market dominance is due to pirated software, I would point out that most major marketing firms account for that bias in their numbers. The raw data is often much higher.

No, only that it was interesting. I did not know it was that high, if not surprising.
