Donald Trump Claims The 'Real' Unemployment Rate Is 18%. Here's What Wall Street Says.

After Donald Trump announced his latest bid for the presidency, I reached out to get details on Trump’s plan to replace Obamacare, and posted that interview on FORBES last week. But for many FORBES readers, the most eye-catching part of the interview wasn’t Trump’s plan for health care.

It was what the Trump campaign said about unemployment.

“Mr. Trump believes that the real unemployment rate is over 18%, not the reported 5.5%,” a spokesperson told me.

Trump’s distrust of the government’s job statistics isn’t new. In July, he even suggested that the U.S. unemployment rate could be as high as 40% — well above what the Bureau of Labor Statistics has found.

He’s right, even Bernie Sanders will admit this.

With the continued DESTRUCTION of this Country by Barry, the pro Illegal Immigrant Lobby, the Politicians with their slice of the pie, I feel the American Dream slipping away (for me personally) more every day.

I’ve paid about $275,000 into the System over my Working Career and I am still paying into the System as of today.
Had that money been invested, I would have a Two Million Dollar Plus Nest Egg according to our Investment Guy.

Imagine of SS required Follow Up Reviews of those who are Collecting Disability? The Liberal Gibsmedats would be in full panic mode.

I’m not even talking about the Older People who are on it since they just revert to their full SS Benefit at age 65, but the Younger ones who haven’t even paid much into SS in the first place. They can walk, talk and chew Bubble Gum but they get a Check from Uncle Sugar, simply amazing.

I think they should report welfare and disability percentages. How many able bodied, working age people who should be the bread winner are not working and not even looking?

don't apologize the SSI/SDI system is rigged in that you have to apply 3 times and the third time you get a judge to say yes or no, happen to my wife she gets SSI, not much now as she is in a nursing home but it sure helped and she was no slacker in the life

Actually, forcing early retirements through onerous government regulations may be part of a plan to lower Social Security payments to try to save the system and have more money to give to those who have not earned it.

Thank you for your Prayers.

I've been dealing with this stuff for so long now it is just a way of Life. No matter what, I'm the luckiest guy walking.

My Late Mother used to tell me “Some People are better off than you and some People are worse off than you, that's Life”. Believing that eliminates both Envy and Fear.

I watched my Late B-I-L deal with Cancer of the Esophagus. If there is a worse Disease, I wouldn't know. It was a grueling five Years but he fought the good fight. Radiation, Chemo and the most heinous Surgery and Recovery but he still kept a good attitude. When I was diagnosed with CLL, he was devastated.

He said to me, it's not fair, you didn't do anything. Yep, I lived a pretty clean Life, no Smoking, Drinking of Drugs, just worked.

My B-I-L did the opposite before I met him and it contributed to his Illness. He did a lot of damage to himself and one day it got him. I was there when he was diagnosed and I was there the moment he died.

Hardest working guy I ever met and he dealt with a lot of pain in his Life, but he was always there for me and I for him. We were friendly, but we became best Friends after his Diagnosis. He died in 2007 and I miss him to this day, even when he drove me crazy with his annoying Habits. LOL

What I'm dealing with is a walk in the Park. I am blessed.

You take good care my FRiend.

Yeah, I just didn’t want the battle. Had I known that I had more Heath Issues coming my way, maybe I would have tried one more time. Water under the Bridge.

My Retirement savings is being whittled down much faster than I thought it would since I’m wasn’t able work much last year and now.

I hope your Wife is doing well my FRiend.

The problem with the refutation from Forbes is that it cites an uptick in various well-compensated white collar jobs, not ordinary humble ones. And it’s the ordinary humble people who have a difficult time finding a job that will pay enough to live on.
