100% effective?
Even the flu shot is only about 60% effective most years. Almost NOTHING is 100% effective.
Smells like BS from the start.
The low effectiveness of the influenza vaccine is a result of the high variability of the virus. There are countless variants of the flu virus, and the vaccine can only protect people from 3 or 4 of them. In addition to the many variants of influenza virus, the virus constantly changes itself so that the immune system does not recognize it, making a previously immune person no longer immune. Virus changes are why the flu vaccine was so ineffective this year.
Ebola, on the other hand, is a fairly stable virus. In the 40 or so years since Ebola was first identified, the virus has hardly changed at all. Thus, if a vaccine can be developed that causes immunity to Ebola, almost everyone will become immune upon receiving the vaccine. Measles vaccine, for example, achieves over 99% immunity after two doses.
To measure 4,000 test as effective, that would require intentionally exposing 4,000 people to Ebola.
I doubt that a lot.
