That’s true, certainly.. my point is that it doesn’t take much to go your own way when you get the master license.
The main problem in doing this is to be willing and able to respond to those emergencies in the beginnings of the business yourself. Clogged sewer lines, busted pipes, busted water heaters, broken heaters in winter....
It’s taxing at first but gets easier as your company grows.
Agreed that the field is wide open for excellence to build a business. I had a plumber like you describe for the house I lived in from 1981-2009. I really miss him and his service but he was aging out of the business so I was going to have to find another guy anyway.
Here in Tulsa OK, one of the local Congressmen owns a large plumbing company with multiple plumbers and vans on the street. He still appears in his TV plumbing commercials, too.
