Does Google have a black out on Trump news? (vanity)

Posted on 07/24/2015 5:47:09 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

Usually, I google "Donald Trump" and hit the news button and sort by date...and there are stories within the last few minutes up to the last few hours. In fact, sometimes there are so many stories the first page doesn't even get to the stories that are more than an hour old.

But today, there are very few stories and they are all old. The freshest is a story about Trump and John Stewart and it is over 2 hours old.

Makes me wonder if Google is pulling a Glenn Beck.

If this continues, I’m gonna send Trump an email to give him and his staff a heads-up.

Right. If Huffpo can relegate Trump to entertainment, Google can certainly give him the boot.

Trump will be all over this when he finds out.;-)

I just did a google search of Trump, and also one of Hillary.

You’re right—nothing on Trump that’s not at least 11 hours old, despite for example his appearance on MSNBC that’s online and I’m watching now.

Hillary, however, has stories posted up to 2 minutes ago.

Perhaps they don’t cover liberal Republicans.

Oh you must be a Trump fan. Shocking to see them on a conservative site. I guess they can be on every site. Hey our Republican Party has been watered down so much that Trump fits in with his liberal views. Don’t worry.

I don’t normally worry about Google, I have several news websites bookmarked and check those, I’ll see Trump’s name the first one I click on every time.

I just checked it too, newest ones I saw were a couple of different articles 2 hours old. I didn’t look at the time stamps on your posts, if this happens at 3AM I wouldn’t worry too much about it, but if it happens at 2PM, yeah I would be curious...

If true it might be interesting to see what happens. Surely Google would have sense enough to not go that route after seeing what has already happened virtually every time any politician or business tried something like this...more news stories for Trump, thousands of Macy’s credit cards cut up, politicians running for cover...surely by now they’d have better sense...

I am Cruz supporter first, then Walker second.

That said, as a former New Yorker, I have been following Trump for 35+ years and love that he is kicking @ss in this election cycle. Very refreshing that someone would speak frankly.

If he wins the nom, of course I will vote for him.

If he fades, Cruz or Walker will inherit his supporters.

I will vote for Trump too in the general if he gets there. However, I just like to remind people that Trump is not a conservative like some have seem to take on. I am for Walker first.....and everyone else is second.

Everyone likes Trumps ability to call out. Newt was very popular here too by just about everyone but I always had my suspicions of him too and of course I ended up right that he would not get the nomination. Although I thought Santorum would have instead of Romney, but you can’t get them all I guess.

One of his staff was on Hannity last night. Didn’t catch his name with his accent and attitude he could have been out of central casting. What a character! (In a positive way) Very loyal, and informative in an entertaining way!

Yep. I was a big Newt fan, but he just didn’t have the will to fight.

Blackout is the only defense the media have against Trump. Any attention they give him at all redounds to his greater prominence. Blacking him out, even if that includes Fox and the major orgs on the Internet (gogle, yahoo,Drudge) will have no effect or will enhance if he is what I think he may be, the Man on Horseback who arrives when a civilization is faltering.
The MoH is not necessarily a good thing. Reagan was one. So were Napoleon and Hitler.

They will censor anything on policy and only allow “controversies” about him.
It’s to portray him, subliminally, as unserious.

Goebbels couldn’t be as effective as our media because he didn’t have as much control of the public square.
