So if she is still in good standing with Planned Parenthood, how is she going to be with the Catholic Church???

Last Friday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi refused to admit aborted unborn babies were human beings, saying her support of the grisly institution stems largely from her belief that women have a right to "choose" their own "medical treatment."

After being pressed further, Pelosi then cited her supposedly Catholic faith as reinforcing her support of abortion. Her statement has since raised a few eyebrows among the Catholic clergy, most notably, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of Pelosi's own archdiocese in San Francisco, who has since condemned Pelosi's statement as being both unscientific and, especially, non-Catholic.

In a statement to CNS News, the Archbishop laid out both what science and the Catholic Church teach in regards to the unborn; Nancy Pelosi practices neither.

"It is a scientific fact that human life begins at conception," he said. "This has been established in medical science for over 100 years. Catholic moral teaching acknowledges this scientific fact, and has always affirmed the grave moral evil of taking an innocent human life.”

“This has been the consistent teaching of the Church from the very beginning, a teaching already discernible in the natural moral law, and so a teaching from which no Catholic can dissent in good conscience,” he added

“It is the obligation of pastors of souls to reach out to their people who have difficulty understanding and accepting such important teachings of the Church in order to extend to them true pastoral care and, where appropriate, to establish a regular dialogue,” he concluded. “This is something I have always striven to do in the various ministries I have exercised as a priest and bishop, including now as the Archbishop of San Francisco. I ask for people’s prayers for success as I continue to strive to do this."

Earlier this year when Nancy Pelosi received the Margaret Sanger Award from Planned Parenthood, the Archbishop publicly stated that Nancy Pelosi must repent before receiving Communion.

Bitch has forever given the Catholic Church the finger and the Church has. Looked the other way.
Nancy must be giving financially to the Catholic Church or if she wasn’t they would have thrown her abortion supporting ass out the Church.
But hey,
Them Catholics seem to be about themoney tree.

Well, he’s had 20+ years to do something about her ... About time he said at least “something”

Next: Kerry, the Kennedys, the so-called “catholic liberals” on the Supreme Court

I don’t know but I feel we need to know what our ELECTED people are doing....like funding and accepting things from people like Planned Parenthood and others....

There are a lot of new people on here, and they need to know don’t you think???

I’m not saying that the Catholic Church is any better than any one else, all I’m saying is people need to be aware...a lot of new people on here aren’t....

I’m catholic and have been all my life but that doesn’t mean I agree with everything and I don’t agree with what our elected leaders are SUPPOST to be doing either...

You see what I mean?

What are they going to do about it?

I'd try throwing water on her first (it worked on some documentary I saw years ago). If not, an old fashioned stoning will work.

I saw that.

It was about the effects of weather patterns (due to climate change, IIRC)

Well do you think Comrade Pope or one of the Comrade Archbishops will excommunicate the pagan .... I doubt that they would take that action against Comrade Representative Pelosi.

The reality of the situation is that Nancy Pelosi is a horrid creature posing as a human being. She is an ugly, devious, wretched and evil thing, and there should be no respect for individuals of her ilk.

The only consequences the Church can impose, are ecclesiastical penalties.

Since the Apostolic Signatura (equiv. of Catholic Supreme Court) ruled that, as an unrepentant, manifest, obstinate sinner, Pelosi is ineligible to approach the Holy Eucharist under Canon 915, and, as HarleyLady notes, her Archbishop said she can't receive Holy Communion without repentance---

What do you think the next step should be?

I'll make the bigger point that Canon 915 should have been imposed thousands of times over the past 45+ years --- and that's just talking about Catholic politicians alone, let alone thousands more apostate Catholic public figures, teachers, leaders, including clergy and vowed religious.

But in Pelosi's case, what next?

Excellent way to put it, Archbishop Cordileone! Bela Pelosi certainly seems to have 'difficulty understanding and accepting' these teachings.

Nope, he's only been her Bishop for a year or two, and he's been quite outspoken about her dissension.
