There’s a little, narrow category of tunes from this time I find a tad too precociously corny for my tastes, and this has always been one of them. But I well know the bit in “Just Imagine” (1930), where Marjorie White and Frank Albertson introduce the song, and indeed watched it again not too long ago. White was a great little comedienne, whose delivery of lines almost always cracks me up in whatever film she is in. Sad that her life was cut so short.

Thanks for posting this and alerting me to it. I've been curious about this tune's title and provenance for four decades, and I was just thinking about it yesterday.

In the 1970's, I made a cassette recording of the song from the radio, but I didn't catch its title or name of the group that sang it--they sounded British and, if I remember correctly, only used a piano for accompaniment. By posting this, you have solved a long-term information need for me.
