Good article.

Just saying. The link to George H W Bush at #15 starts the big-wigs. Most of our most recent presidents, are not on the richest list.

I was a bit surprized who was the biggest president financially.

By comparison, Donald Trump, has more than five times as much, as any previous president. But the number one president was nevertheless quite formidable.

I looked through the list (painful website design)

I figured it was him. But I allowed for it to be another.

Question: what about inflation? Were the dollars normalized?

36 clicks to see the winner? No thanks.

Horrible design for the iPad. It keeps erroring out and redrawing, so I could not get past #1. The number given almost certainly is in nominal, not real, dollars. I figured a different Democrat, not that one. In retrospect, it was obvious. HINT: it was daddy’s money.

Well the link I posted in the comments is for #15, which is where the biggies start.

I am not really suprized, but then again I hadn’t expected that, so I guess maybe I was suprized.

It started at the poorest for me on that page. I’m not planning on clicking 30+ pages, but I would like to see the list.

That didn't work for me. It started right at the bottom.

Same problem on my Lenovo. But if it's who I think it is...

HINT: it was daddy’s money

...that would be the reason.

Thanks for posting that....very interesting. Do you know if they normed everything to “todays dollars” - meaning was George Washington worth 525 million back then (that would be zillions today) - or is that 525M grossed up in todays dollars?

I haven’t looked yet, but your question “who was the richest” should include a qualifier, as to “before or after they held office?”

I thought the Clinton “Foundation”s worth is now in the billions. I understand that technically it isn’t his, but in practicality doesn’t that make him the richest?

John Kennedy had a family Trust worth 10 Million at death in 1963

I wonder how that is 1 Billion Dollars?
