Completely irrelevant change.
Of all the people who have been killed in war since 1900, how many were killed with small arms fire from a side-arm? And most of them were probably just assassinated by somebody with a pistol to the head.

Is there someone out there who can explain what the term "dum-dum" means, and where it came from, other than just some slang term that people use?
Did some manufacturer start marketing "dum-dum" ammunition?
I mean, I've never, ever, laid eyes upon a box of ammo, including any kind of HP ammo OR Ball ammo for any service rifle, including 5.56 Nato, 7.62 Nato, or anything else, and seen it labeled "dum-dum".
Come to think of it, never, in my time shooting service rifle competition, have I ever heard anyone refer to any kind of ammo as "dum-dum" ammunition. Like, "Hey Mike, what kinda groups do you get with that dum-dum ammo? How much does it cost?"
Please don't get me wrong; I don't mean any disrespect, I'd just like to get some clarification on the term.
