Three dead in quadruple shooting near UMB campus

Three people were shot to death and another was wounded Tuesday night near the University of Maryland, Baltimore in what investigators called a "targeted incident," police said.

Two vans, one burgundy and one white, pulled over in the 900 block of W. Fayette St. in the Poppleton neighborhood about 10:30 p.m., police said. Gunmen emerged and opened fire, police said. They said three or four gunmen might have been involved.

"This was not a random act of violence but was a targeted incident," police said in a statement.

They can see the number and color of the vehicles, they can see the number of shooters ... but cannot see the color of the shooters or whether their faces were covered or not.

So I'm guessing that the people in the two vans pulled over and started shooting at each other? (Rather than two vans pulling up to a house and shooting people in the house).

And the “quadruple shooting” thing - I was thinking there were four separate attacks from the headline.

I guess the news that the Mayor fired the police chief didn’t stop them, whoever they were.
