Well then he is helping Cruz, as everyone else seems to be on the left of him on (illegal) immigration.
Trump is what Trump does. Sooner or later he’ll get bored and move on back to what he does best - make money.
To me, his entrance into this is a contrarian everyman (which his most certainly not) dalliance with the status quo. Who knows why.
