I recently took my desktop to the geek store for repair. Everything was fixed except that I think they changed a setting on it that I depend on quite often -- my browsing history.
Can someone please explain to me how to turn on my browsing history? I would like for it to go back for at least 4 weeks. I use Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7. I'd really appreciate the help.
Hmmmm....maybe turn your computer on?
Just a guess though....
I never touch peoples' browser settings when I'm working on their machines.
Post on Facebook that you have dead people buried in your backyard and the FBI will get all of your browser history for you.
Open IE, got to Tools>Internet Options>General
Under Browsing History see if Delete Browsing History on Exit is checked. If it is uncheck and click Apply.
I would assume they cleared it while they were doing whatever. It’ll probably rebuild itself. If not, there should be a setting in options to turn on cookies/brower history/etc.
Search ‘History channel’. Once you’re in you need to type ‘Activate ru4liberty history’ into their search box.
Next turn on your TV and place/balance your computer on top of the TV.
Now, look for a show on Hitler.
Get back with me once you’ve done these things because the final steps are a little tricky.
Just so. I wasna sure if IE had the same thing as Firefox or Chrome, since I avoid that clunky browser like the plague.
For IE9 (might be similar with 11)
Tools >> Internet Options
First panel “Browser history” section. Uncheck ‘Delete browsing history on exit’ Also push the Settings button for other tweaking.
If you want extra fast service post that you have live people buried in your back yard. :)
Lololol!
Anybody got NSA’s number. They have backups of your history.
Posts like that one make me wish that FR had a thumbs-up button. Well played, well played indeed.
You can turn it back on. But anything you had before they cleared it is gone.
I’m guessing they didn’t turn it off. They probably just cleared it. That’s SOP if you’re removing viruses and malware. A way to help prevent the user from going back to a page that may have caused the infection. I wouldn’t be surprised if they removed add-ons, cleared cookies, and deleted temp files as well.
Users shouldn’t be dependent on browsing history imho. If a page is important, save it as a “favorite”.
LOL
History is being forwarded to the NSA.
