I’d be guessing it was some sort of missile kill-vehicle mid course interceptor test. To me the pixel resolution isn’t good enough to resolve anything clearly. The flickering seemed to be rectangular pixel orientation dealing with a diagonal flight path moving out of the pixel set.

There were two of them that seemed to have the same relative bearings between each other which would indicate an intercept course (at least in 2D) but the light return diminished (obscured?) so you couldn’t see.

I would agree. But are they American, Chinese or Russian?

I suppose that anything is possible. I don’t know enough about the science. Sure is interesting though.
