The two sequels that stand out for me are Godfather 2 and City Slickers Part 2. Most others are awful.

I went through them and counted a possible 37 that I might watch when they come out on DVD. Most of them I never saw the first film in the series.

There’s going to be a sequel to “Top Gun.”
The original came out thirty years ago.
I’m impressed by a Navy fighter pilot in his fifties. Curious to see how Tom Cruise pulls it off.

This is a list of sequels, but doesn't include some of the needless "remakes". Of that type, the big one is filming in Rome right now: Ben-Hur.
