The Cambrian critters in general were pretty neat, and then there are all the synapsids from the time of Pangaea.

Prehistoric mammals are what gets me.

From the period of the dinosaur extinction, well, until about 15,000 years ago, there was a time of MASSIVE MAMMALS!

We’re talking critters like 50’ tall, that sort of thing.

And lots of them WERE NOT very nice!
