I am 59 years old, haven’t been back to Detroit area since I was a teenager. Out of curiosity, I recently looked up the house we had lived in when I was four or five in the Highland Park area. If I remember correctly, it was on sale for under $30,000.
The last time I visited my gps when they lived there was about fifty years ago. All my Detroit relatives have since, like my grandparents, died or moved to other locations. Whereas I used to have numerous relatives living in the Detroit area/suburbs, I now have zero living there.
