I have been a passenger on many and jumped from a few perfectly good aircraft, but know little about the front end. This was a fun read for me.

Frankly, Boeing had my vote after the Aloha Airlines mid-air decompression incident in 1988:

Kudos first to the flight crew that recovered the aircraft safely, then to the manufacturer (Boeing) for building an aircraft that could suffer that much structure loss and still remain both flying and controllable.

Guess it helps when your commercial airliner is designed and built by one of the world’s leading bomber manufacturers (B-17, B-29, B-47, B-52).
