Who’d want to mate with that thing anyway?

I am confused. I am going to have to reread this article. Unless I am completely daft, I could swear I just read an entire nature article that didn’t mention the word climate change once. I am too flaburgasted to continue with my day!

So ladies, take a bow. Apparently we can do it all.

then you won't be needing any more child support, alimony, or half of everything from men... right?

Didn’t Bugs Bunny use one to cut a tree or something down once?

What a stupid headline! Take an interesting natural discovery and make it into a mocking attack on God and Christians.

But can the offspring produced by parthenogenesis reproduce viable offspring, capable of reproducing?

That's the test isn't it?

It is with other species, as far as mating goes.

A horse can mate with a donkey, producing a mule, but it is beyond rare that a mule ever produce yet more offspring --- thus showing that horses and donkeys are classified as two separate species.

Yes, I know, that is different, since it is talking about sexual (rather than asexual) reproduction...

...but rulzs is rulzs (or so muh spelin techur tout mee)

And before there was sexual reproduction, there was.....?
In other words, are we supposed to be impressed?
