I just received a survey from the RNC. Rather than fill out another survey, I sent them a copy of the above and said it was time for action, not surveys. I will continue to stuff the envelopes with this.
I encourage you to read your state platforms and hold our candidates to the firs.

Just a question. Is this the official platform of the IOWA Republican Party?

3.We support the elimination of all state and federal death taxes.
8.We support retaining the step-up in basis on assets transferred from a decedent.
A note for those who support the elimination of state and federal death taxes. It sounds good to the ears but is a tax INCREASE without point 8.
Personally I think our current system works. Very little death tax is paid anyway as the exemptions amount works and with planning not paid. It is NOT PERFECT but I am fearful of concentration of wealth and power. The one unique thing to America is movement is social and power levels.
Again, the current systems is not perfect but it is a known quantity and manageable.

9.We demand that all laws restricting the growing of industrial hemp be immediately eliminated.
10.We support legalizing cannabis oil for medical use.
This is IOWA platform and each state will be different. Politics should be on a state and local level more than national. Can’t say I disagree with these two points, but not a high priority on my part.
