I wonder if either should be driving

I hope so. I would hate for them to be without transportation. I can’t wait for the driverless cars that will be able to keep the elderly in cars for as long as THEY want and not the other way around. We need to start treating the elderly much better in this country. We treat them like crap for the most part.

False choice. There are options besides drive unsafely or wait for Google Autodrive.

It takes someone with skin in the game to know that, though.

Not surprising, considering as a society, it’s all about “Me! Me! Me!” combined with the decay in core values that so permeates our country. Selfish, self-centered, indulgent, entitled (mentality), spoiled, pampered...you name it, we’re there. Leaves no time, room, money, desire, effort, interest in caring for those “pesky” elderly.
