Religion does not masquerade as a from of politics. It IS a form of politics, a form of politics whereby its leaders receive the ultimate loyalty and dedication from its followers and adherents towards its goals.

In governmental politics adherents whether republicans or Democrats will follow the party line up to the limits of its leaders to deliver have influence over its constituency. Many will not be fulfilled by lack of leaders promises.

But in politics whereby religion is the basis for all objectives, leaders have ultimate control, influence. Whereas as standard politics only promise to enact laws of an Earthly nature, the religious political leader offers the ultimate prize to its extreme religious adherents in securing their followers a place in the afterlife for all eternity.
