Cartersville, GA (CBS HOUSTON) The Anheuser-Busch plant in Georgia is stopping production of beer to help flood victims in Texas and Oklahoma.
The plant will can water instead of beer starting this week to give to Red Cross to distribute to flood victims.
The plant normally does water runs like this three times a year, according to 11Alive News, but decided to do it now to help the Red Cross assist people impacted by major flooding.
Water should reach afflicted areas within 48 hours.
Who’s gonna be on the ground first? FEMA or Bud?
Couldn’t the just send Busch Light, nobody could tell the difference...
Instead of going to Vegas for "training sessions", FEMA planners should intern at A-B.....for free.
Good for Busch !
Beer’s fine, too.
I didn’t know they made beer.
Maybe the flood victims could use a free beer instead.
Cue the pic of “Heineken Guy”..
Ruh-roh. My brother won’t be happy. Hope supply lasts through the weekend. Family get together in Savannah for neice’s college graduation.
Credit is due..Salute. Still I wont drink beer from a french lite company.
“Whos gonna be on the ground first? FEMA or Bud?”
FEMA was on the ground in Texas within a day.
Very nice. I still hate their beer
I guess they had Walmart and Home Depot give them son training after Katrina, huh?
Geez. A lot of ridicule on this this thread for A-B products. Why no more commending an “Evil Capitalist” for doing a good thing, without prompting from the Government.
This is a prime example that people who run companies will do the right thing and we don’t need a massive bureaucracy to make people do the right thing.
The company has done this before. Good for them.
We’re flooding, and the government is going to send us water. *sign*
A-B has been selling water canned in New Jersey since 2006, only they label it “Rolling Rock Beer”.
