Mitch McConnell says he expects to maintain but not grow the U.S. Senate's Republican majority next year.
The Senate majority leader said Tuesday the GOP's chances of gaining seats are "pretty slim" because Republicans must defend 24 seats compared to the Democrats' 10. Plus, Republicans will field candidates in several states dominated by the presidential election, including New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin and Illinois. He said Republicans "regretfully" have an open seat in Florida because Marco Rubio is running for president and not re-election at the same time, as McConnell's fellow Kentuckian Rand Paul plans to do.

He is more interested in battling conservatives in the primaries than beating Democrats
Mitch, the world loves a leader that aims so low. Didn’t he ever hear that the best defense is a strong offense?
Twizzle, Twazzle, Twizzle, Twome, time for McConnell to go home.
I prefer a CONSERVATIVE MAJORITY!
lol
There is a republican majority in the senate?
I hope Juan loses.
LOL!
Almost as good as the doctored Penguin Slap, but much more appropriate here.
He is strongly offensive.

Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, Hatch, McCain, tell me again why I am suppose to vote for republicans.
I was one of the last ones arguing that any Republican is better than none. to hell with him and to hell with his majority, What have they done? I’ll tell you what they’ve done. they’ve made it now a two-thirds majority needed not to approve a treaty but to overturn it regarding Iran. I still can’t believe it
Sen. McConnell is a great example why the ill-conceived 17th Amendment should never have been ratified.
Next year being an election year, I suspect that RINO McConnell is trying to avoid a 2/3 conservative Senate majority needed to override presidential vetoes (1.7.2) and remove House-impeached government leaders from office (1.3.6).
He did, after all, publicly wage war on the TEA Party.
And let us not forget, RICK PERRY ENDORSES MITCH MCCONNELL.
