I would like to see someone “follow the money” on this one. Who stands to gain a lot of federal taxpayer money if “positive train controls” are purchased and installed?

It’s not the railroads, as this thing is currently set forth. In fact they just have to pay for it. Can you say unfunded mandate. No tax subsidy here.

Now, the folks who make the equipment will be in better shape, at the railroads’ expense.
