CBS has renewed 15 of its series for next season — but missing from the list is long-running crime procedural “CSI.”

The network has not confirmed the fate of the franchise flagship, and may opt to end the Ted Danson series with a TV movie rather than a 16th season, according to reports.

I’m just happy that “one big happy”, Ellen’s masterpiece, went down in flames after six episodes. Spent tons on it and lots of promotion.
Like I said before, they’re blaming the British actress, and not the “lesbian made pregnant by best friend who then gets married” storyline.

Not surprising. I figured, when George Eads left and then the series ended early to make room for CSI-Cyber, that it wouldn't be renewed. I am surprised though that Person of Interest was renewed. We enjoyed that show when it first started but, much like the Mentalist before it, Person of Interest has become bogged down in the ‘Samaritan’ story. Simply cannot follow the story.

CSI jumped the shark when Ted Danson showed up. Surprised it lasted this long.

Back in 1977, they had a coming of age show on TV called "James at 15".

It lasted only a couple seasons but I seem to remember it was pretty good. These days, it would be called "James at 53" - which makes me feel old.

Never even heard of One Big Happy.

The last sitcom I liked alot was Arrested Development. Of course it got canceled.

CSI blows a$$. Not everyone is over 60. It’s not like there aren’t a crapload of them out there anyway.

I saw the commercials during one of the absurd reality series my fiancé makes me watch. In return, she has to discuss politics for a half hour(she'd rather walk on glass shards but Is a faithful republican, for whatever that's worth these days. But she's pro life and anti tax, so I'll keep her :) )

some of those reality shows are better than sitcoms and dramas...does she watch the Real Housewives franchise??? They help me de-stress after a long day of work...

THOSE she watches inside :)
I get to watch American Idol, The Voice, Shark Tank, Impractical Jokers, then there’s the sitcoms Undateable and The Odd Couple.

Yes, I need stand-alone episodes because I can't remember those run-on story lines from week to week. Did you notice that the women all started talking with a whisper and acting just like Jim Caviezel's character? That was strange.

Yes, I am not even sure if Sameen Shahi is alive. And Root's dialog is so convoluted I simply can't follow her at all. I enjoyed the stand alone episodes, but this mish-mosh is frustrating.

I don’t know. I watched the season ending and part of the freezing in the car with the ghost of . . . I can’t think of her name . . . but I just got so confused after this season started, I gave up.

It is either going to get 6 episodes to let it end with all stories finished or a two-hour movie. The show lasted much longer then the majority of shows out there.

My wife likes the “Real Housewives of “. I call them the “Real Sluts of “.

This show represents the worst of American “moneyed” and “wannabe moneyed” society and presents a horrible picture of America to the world. ISIS could use it as a recruiting tool for jihadists who want to destroy the decade America (just like the Reds did in their propagandistic recruiting films and publications from Vietnam to Moscow, Managua to Chavez’s Venezuela).

The world watches American TV and much of what they are seeing today is total crap, third rate garbage produced by second rate hacks and greedy producers.

Where are the “Taxi”, “Cheers”, “WKRP Cincinnati” and other comedy shows that made you laugh, not puke?

The original CSI was brilliant in both content and acting, as were “Law and Order/SVU”, “Hill Street Blues”, etc.

I’m having a hard time finding a good comedian in a family show (such as Ray Romano in “Everybody Loves Raymond” - great cast), “All in the Family” (an oldie but goodie), “The Bill Cosby Show”, even the dopey “Soap” comedy soap-opera of old.

I want to be made to laugh, not insulted with cheap, vulgar pretend comedy lines and gags. And the leftist inserted into many of today’s shows is terrible, a liberal self-hating of our great country.

Call me old fashioned, but we laughed our asses off with Red Skelton, Red Buttons, Jackie Gleason, Ernie Kovacs, Steve Allen, Sid Cesar, Jack Benny, the Three Stooges, Laurel and Hardy, and Abbott and Costello.

Never a cuss word, never a slur, never putting down our country.

If you are happy with the crap today, tell me why, here at FR. (I know there are a few good shows but in general, TV sucks).

Society needs some basic standards in order to survive, and right now it is more like the only “standards” we have on TV (and in many movies) is “No Standards”.

I think it’s reasonable to note that whenever CSI touched on an area of science with which I’m familiar it was wildly inaccurate.

My wife and I have been enjoying Battle Creek. They had an episode involving the Maple Syrup Cartel that was hilarious.

Or possibly enjoyment requires a truly odd sense of humor like we have.
