Twelve reasons why I voted Democratic
Unknown ^ | 3/6/2015 | Timothy Tuttle

Here are the 12 reasons I voted Democratic:

1. I voted Democratic because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I now may marry my Labrador.

2. I voted Democratic because I believe oil companies’ profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the Government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn’t.

3. I voted Democratic because I believe the Government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

4. I voted Democratic because Freedom of Speech is fine as long as I agree with what is said and nobody else is offended by it.

5. I voted Democratic because I’m way too irresponsible to own a gun and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

6. I voted Democratic because I believe that people who can’t tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in 10 years if I don’t start driving a Prius.

7. I voted Democratic because I’m not concerned about millions of babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

8. I voted Democratic because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education and Social Security benefits, and we should take away the Social Security from those who paid into it.

9. I voted Democratic because I believe that businesses should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the Democrats see fit.

10. I voted Democratic because I believe liberal Judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

11. I voted Democratic because I think that it’s better to pay billions for their oil to people who hate us but not drill our own because it might upset some endangered beetle, spotted owl, gopher or fish.

12. I voted Democratic because my head is so firmly misplaced toward the south end of my body; it’s unlikely that I’ll ever have another point of view.

No trees, Spotted Owls, or Red Cock-headed Woodpeckers were harmed in the sending of this message.

DEMOCRAT Gosh Darn It! You cannot vote "democratic" but you can vote "Democrat."

"Democratic" means one thing. "Democracy" means another. Democrat is a political party and they are anything but democratic. There is no such thing as the "Democratic" Party.

Yes, words matter. One of my pet peeves and I can't stand it when conservatives help the progressive takeover of words.

I vote Dumocratic in L.A. because as a white liberal I feel guilt about being white...and I have no non-white friends in my circle.

Thank you very much. I detest the Democrat attempts to label their party “democratic”.

13. I voted Democratic because I graduated from a high school run by the liberals and NEA and they did not teach me how to spell Repug, rebugi, Republikan, (to hell with it).

They're trying to claim that the Democrat party has ties to the original Democratic-Republican Party of Jefferson. They even have a Wiki page about the "Democratic Party which makes this claim. This redefinition has been creeping in slowly for years.

The truth is that were Jefferson alive and POTUS today, he'd have them all hung.

Pretty spot on except I don’t see brain damage on the list, I thought it would be #1.

It is foolish to pinpoint blame on one party when both are culpable. Ideology should be ridiculed instead.

LIBERALISM is a MENTAL ILLNESS for which passing away is the sole cure..

which is why LOGIC does not apply
and you can not have a debate with a libtard....their minds are cemented shut..... the wiring harness is malfunctioning... they operate from emotion not reason....

reality is for others, its good intentions that count not the disgusting inept failure of a result

CASE IN POINT .... OBUMBLERCARE / OBAMA / holder /lynch / clintoon and the rest

It’s not “democratic”, but that’s what the American people think it is - from Queens, NYC, to Orange County, CA.

I believe your angst is directed at the wrong person. stormpreppper didn’t write this piece. They just posted it from a site called Patriot Newswire. The person who posted it on that site, Timothy Tuttle, got it correct and used “Democrat”. But the original was apparently written by a James W. Anderson, as an editorial to a newspaper some years ago and he’s the one that used “Democratic”.

I realize that. Not directing anything towards the original poster, just the post itself as there is no way to direct such to the author without signing up to post on a blog.

Would also like to point out however, that many conservative pundits also make the same mistake as do some Freepers. Walter Williams used "Democratic party" in his article yesterday. This is how the left wins the war on words. They just keep repeating over and over until the word means something it does not. Straight out of Alinsky, who stole the idea from Goebbels.

I don't know the answer to that question.

I always use the derogatory pejorative "democRAT" when I refer the the opposition party.
