Back in January a Fort Myers, Florida, man was shot three times in a Waffle House, only to die in a car crash on the way to the hospital. There was speculation for months about the deadly confrontation, especially one man’s innocence.
Now, footage has been released which sheds new light on the confrontation.
The footage shows a shirtless, 24-year-oldDakota Fields attacking another customer, who happened to carry a concealed weapon permit.
Police say the shooter, Jehrardd Williams, acted in self defense and will not be charged.

Public surveillance videos definitely do sort out lots of truth from fiction. The guy was clearly defending himself.
Yes, public surveillance video does do that…..we just need to remember we are nearly always on public surveillance when we are out and about………..

I interpreted the post that you replied to as being sarcastic but missing the /s label. the video shows that the dead bad guy (who was white) in this incident was a thug who ended up dead because he wasn’t acting like a civilized human being and then assaulted someone (who was black) who then acted in self defense....some may say that this incident is comparable to another incident when a thug (who wasn’t white) assaulted some folks and ended up dead but riots ensued shortly thereafter.

The shirtless thug catches three rounds in about two seconds. It is startling how fast this sort of thing happens.

I don't quite get how the situation unfolded. The three whites were sitting at a table and verbally harassing the black man and the hispanic looking guy next to him. Then they get up to leave and one of the guys in a black shirt shakes the hand of the hispanic guy and punches the black man in the face after trying to shake hands with him. What was that all about?
This happened back in January. I'm surprised this story didn't get a lot of attention back then. A black man legally carrying a firearm and then shooting and killing a white punk in self defense and being backed up by the police as being in the right. That would have been a nice story to get out there to show that we aren't really the racist society we are made out to be - but I guess it doesn't fit the media narrative. That's a shame.
The ENTIRE POINT of concealed carry is that people have to THINK HARD before they act like jerks, because they can never be sure they won’t get popped.
These honkies must have forgotten (or never known) that Florida has one of the largest concealed-carry armies in the country. One can only get away with being a jerk a limited number of times before things get ugly.
And as the honkies quickly found out - law-abiding blacks also can AND DO have concealed permits (and guns).
We need to find this guy and hold him up as an example of how the system is supposed to work. He is an honor to the system...just standing there not doing anything, even though he likely had justification to pull his gun out much earlier.
