Crazy Russian Drivers - Car Crashes JANUARY / FEBRUARY 2014 - Enjoy the Video,{9.23}

Insurance companies in Russia, (and common sense when dealing with the Russian Legal System) require dash cams.
If US Insurance companies required them (and we aren’t far from it) you’d see some equally wild stuff.
They do not appear to know about snow tires...or turning into the direction of the skid, or yielding to someone just to avoid having an expensive accident!
Drive I-65 between Lafayette, Indiana and Chicago in any given winter snowstorm, and you’ll see the same things.
Or worse...
Haha. I remember driving from Ohare there during winter, and you had SUVs flipped upside down in the ditch of 65 every 20 miles or so.
Does every car in Russia have a dash camera?
Also thinking Boris or Natasha may have had a slug or two of vodka before getting behind the wheel.
US insurance companies are going the black box route.
Frankly, other than entertainment value, better data.
They also appear not to know about excessive speed, following too closely, turning from the wrong lane, looking before changing lanes, and may God have mercy on your soul if you’re anywhere near a big truck.
It seems to me that in Russia, lanes and right of way are more of an act of bravado than ‘traffic rules’ like we have here.
Did you notice they don’t have lanes marked on their roads ?
I didn’t see any type of traffic control signs in much of that video either.
Do they have Driver Training in school like the US schools ?
I would also imagine that they have frosty and slippery weather much of the time, with quickly changing conditions.
Or maybe Russians just consider driving to be a huge version of bumper-cars.
Driver training is mandatory. But it doesn’t seem to help.
You should see Portland Oregon drivers, granola burning Subaru’s everywhere cutting across 3 lanes to get to an exit they knew a mile back they had to take. Thankfully I have a lifted F150 so they tend to steer clear of me (I do see a lot of them letting me know I’m number one). The bi-cyclist tend to be good speed bumps though.
The only purpose that Russian’s serve nowadays is entertaining youtube footage.
