Tom Brady will be the highest profile player ever suspended in the 96-year history of the NFL.
Roger Goodell's decision is expected to be announced next week and it is no longer a matter of if the NFL commissioner will suspend Brady, but for how long he will suspend him.
In conversations I've had with several key sources who always have a good sense of what goes on at 345 Park Avenue, there is little doubt Goodell considers Brady's role in DeflateGate a serious violation.
The NFL is convinced, according to sources, that connecting all the dots of the evidence supplied by Wells leads to one conclusion:
Brady cheated.

Yup. Brady intentionally broke the rules, but the effect of slightly under-inflated footballs on the outcome of the game is miniscule.
In the Colts game, after the balls were switched at halftime, Brady racked up a lot more points. Then the Pats beat Seattle in the Super Bowl with regulation footballs.
Brady should suffer whatever penalty was on the books before the whole bruhaha, not some ridiculous penalty to placate a mob.

He did nothing at all, except to play at a level unseen before for longer than any QB in League history. That alone pisses off all kinds of losers.
Well, as I said, those texts could have been them joking, and they further may only show deflating up to the legal thresh hold. Maybe he wanted them as low as legally possible.
And how much did Brady say he wanted them to weigh? I mean precisely.
Thanks for making my point. (And your's I'm sure.) If the NFL suspends Brady for something like the above, then IMO the fans need to just turn the NFL off.

And if people really wanted Hillary’s server, they would just seize it, but apparently no one wants it.
So, we no longer need the rule of law. Instead of finding that Brady cheated and will be punished, we punish him because of the ‘high probability’ that he cheated, NOT that he ACTUALLY cheated, but that he ‘probably’ cheated. This is getting sick.
Well, if he broke the rules by not cooperating, I have no problem with him being punished for that.
I have a problem with someone being punished for something that can’t actually be substantiated.
And yes, a deflated ball is exceedingly minor.
It’s like punishing someone because their cleats were too long.
Did they have proof that Sean Payton had knowledge of the bounties? Goodell when he suspended him for the season, said that ignorance was no excuse.

I don’t think Payton was real happy about that one either.
The NFL is not a court of law. They set their own standards for evidence and proof.
In this case, Goddell’s saving it. Cheating allowed to stand is what will ruin the NFL. I don’t think he needs a massive penalty, but definitely enough to reflect the fact that he purposely altered the ball illegally that is used throughout the game. Two games would be sufficient in my book. Maybe even one. No suspension would be favoritism of the worst kind.
The organization is what really needs severe penalties. Massive cash and draft losses. They are now repeat offenders. One could argue that Belichek deserves the same fate as Sean Payton. One year gone. Based on Goddell’s own words, ignorance is not an viable excuse. I would lean against that, but the precedent has been set.
Payton doesn't fit into the picture since his suspension was in 2012.........long before the suspension of Rice.
FWIW, Rice's indefinite suspension only cost him the 2014 season following being dropped by the Ravens in Sept. 2014. His indefinite suspension was overturned in Dec. 2014 and he's now eligible to play football again..........
Rice's crimes were documented and proven and had there been a swift judicial system, he wouldn't have missed a game. Brady's still remain heresay..............
