A report commissioned by the NFL has found that there was "no deliberate attempt" by the New England Patriots to deflate game balls to gain an advantage over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Champsionship gamebut that a Patriots locker room attendant and equipment assistant "participated in a deliberate effort to release air from Patriots game balls after the balls were examined by the referee." The report by Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP also said "it is more probable than not that Tom Brady...was at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities." Brady denied knowing anything about deflated balls.

Some quarterbacks want the balls over inflated, some less. Might depend on hand size. Not really sure why this gives you an advantage. Certainly you don’t want underinflated balls for kicking.

Look, Brady knew his balls were soft the first time he squeezed them. And I betcha the center knew his balls were soft too the first time he squeezed them. The problem here is that these people are all dishonest for not admitting that their balls were soft after they squeezed them and realized they were soft right from the start.

No doubt he could. Most people could.
But nothing much will come of it. Note that they conveniently timed this until AFTER the draft concluded so as not to penalize the Pats in terms of draft picks this year.
Not that I’m surprised. ‘Just give it to them’ has been the league’s attitude toward the Pats since Kraft bought them.

Every time Commish Gooodell was on stage at the NFL draft extravaganza in Chicago he was showered with a constant chorus of boos.
This sham, timid finding is not going to help the Commish's approval rating but it is in keeping with his image.

What's your point? He may have hated him, but he was still getting free stuff from him.

The teams can deflate the balls by rule. One or two of the balls were said to be slightly below the rule. Just no way of proving anything happened at all. The Patriots won the SB, people need to deal with it.
