A Miami woman charged with DUI manslaughter allegedly texted her boyfriend "Drunk driving woo" just minutes before a fatal collision that killed her passenger.
Mila Dago had been fighting with her boyfriend and sending him a barrage of breakup texts in the early hours of Aug. 14, 2013, according to documents released by the prosecution on Thursday.
The last three messages, minutes before the fatal crash, were "Driving drunk woo," "I'll be dead thanks to you," and "Lata."
Then, according to the Miami Herald, she blew through a red light and T-boned a moving truck with her rented Smart car, killing friend and passenger Irina Reinoso, 22.
She had a blood-alcohol level of .178, more than twice the legal limit, two hours later, police said.
Dago, 24, has pleaded not guilty to DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide and two counts of DUI with damage to a person
Defence lawyer David Rothman told the Herald it would be "disrespectful" to Reinoso's family to comment.
Mila Dago
Geez....
Lata, Mila!
At least a year in jail.
Stupid in a Smart Car.
I guess she showed him.
Smart car on a halfshell.
Ironic that she was driving a Smart car.
smart car vs moving truck
Looks like a typical liberal chick, the vacant eyes and empty brain. Just a younger version of Lizzie Warren or Hitlery.
...but the dog was okay
Speaking of Smart cars I was coming home from a meeting outside of Philly and on the PA Turnpike and for several miles got stuck behind someone driving a Smart he was going 50 MPH in a 65 MPH zone. UG!
not guilty
“But she drove with pride.....”
lol
In the left lane, matching speeds with a semi?
Public flogging would be appropriate.
Looks like she sobered up for her mug shot.
I cannot imagine a Smart car being stable over about 50 mph with the short wheelbase it has.
Yet another Florida Lounge Lizard murder....
The Smart car may be the only car out there that looks better totalled.
