A Biblical Perspective on the Baltimore Riots [Proverbs 30]

Proverbs 30:21 For three things the earth is disquieted, and for four which it cannot bear : 22 For a servant when he reigneth ; and a fool when he is filled with meat;

In 2008, when Barack Hussein Obama was elected President of the United States of America, he was by far the least qualified presidential candidate ever to be elected in the country. Having never run a business, made payroll, or served his country in a leadership capacity with any accomplishment. The former community organizer and unaccomplished state senator, who then spent four years as a part-time Senator, devoted much of his time and energy to book tours and lecturing at the University of Chicago Law School.

Barack “you didn’t build that” Obama’s startling lack of experience, knowledge, and understanding are clearly ascertained in the nonsensical quotes he makes regarding business and the economy. He called American companies that move their headquarters overseas “unpatriotic”, when the real “perfectly legal” reason they do so is to avoid America’s convoluted corporate-tax system. This tax system punishes business more than any other in the world and creates a perverse incentive for them to move overseas to remain competitive. He also called for companies to "start hiring" (as if CEOs can wave a wand and create jobs.)

Bill Clinton’s remark about Barack Hussein Obama “getting him coffee” was crude but not necessarily off the mark. Barack Hussein Obama was qualified only to earn wages lecturing (servant) with few other skills at that point. The Bible is clear that men of faith, integrity, and accomplishment should be selected to lead.

Exodus 18:21 Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens: 22 And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge : so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee.

When the inexperienced, immature, dishonest, and untested (servants) are made leaders it can be detrimental for any organization, especially the governance of an entire country. Proverbs 30:21 says that when servants rule, the earth is “disquieted”, meaning a lack of calm, peace, or ease; to disturb or make uneasy. Why? How can a servant do so much damage given the normal checks and balances in government? The answer is in the next verse.

Proverbs 30:22 reveals that the earth is also disquieted when a fool is filled with meat. A fool in the Bible is not a clown, rather it is someone who "rebels". When a fool is hungry, he is far more likely to be conciliatory and less likely to cause damage. When a fool has an EBT (Eat Better Today) card, there is no disincentive to rioting. For the promise of additional benefits, a fool can be coerced to any illicit behavior. Historically, insecure "servants" who lead employ rabble-rousing to accomplish their agenda. For the fools, there may be significant incentives to riot (e.g. addition EBT, funding, welfare).

Who are these rioters? Why are they not at work? Who is funding their endeavors on the streets of Baltimore? Why are their bellies full enough to enable them to cause the damage they are causing?
