PITTSBURGH (AP) — A radio station has suspended a disc jockey over his online posting about the arrest record of a Baltimore man whose fatal injury in police custody led to rioting.

Officials at FM station WAMO 100, which bills itself as Pittsburgh's No. 1 choice for urban music, said Wednesday the posting by Mike Jax was "too controversial" and partly inaccurate. They also said listeners had complained and threatened to harm Jax, whose real name is Mike Jackson....

Suspended in part because he didn’t “fact check”. Using that criteria, most “journalists” should be canned.

"the problem with the post is it was too controversial."

Translated, it means that the comment didn't fit the "progressive" narrative and must be censored.

"Free speech" to the leftists is tossing bricks and looting if done in the name of 'justice' in a controversial case.

Posting facts collateral to that same case in an Instagram is not.

Suspended... this was a slap on the wrist.

When you have a position as the employee of the radio station, you don’t get to use that as your platform for any old thing you want to say regardless of what the station wants. That’s just right. The First Amendment does not cover that situation, and neither should it.

It’s difficult to see a way out of this nightmarish box going forward—short of territorial separation. Statist socialists, underminers extraordinaire, have poisoned and corrupted the minds and souls of countless millions within two generations. Are we kidding ourselves that diametrically opposed conditions, individual freedom vs. statist slavery, can coexist peaceably?

It is not a fact in evidence that this was a “spare time” (or separated media) expression.

If he plausibly represents the radio station in the circumstances he speaks, they get to base his employment status upon what he speaks, period.
