FUN THINGS TO NOTE FROM THE BIBLE:
Remember what Jesus said: 'He will put His sheep on His right and the goats on His left.' (Matthew 25:33).
Jesus also told Peter that if he wanted to catch fish do it from the right side of the boat. They did and filled the boat with fish.
John 21:6 (NIV) ... He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish."
Origin of Left & Right...
I have often wondered why it is that Conservatives are called the right" and Liberals are called the "left".
By chance I stumbled upon this verse in the Bible: Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV) - "The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left."
Thus sayeth the Lord. Amen.
It surely can't get any simpler than that.

We here in FR have for the most part, analyzed ourselves and actually DO know who and what we are ... and why ... (and we REALLY know all about YOU, you stinkin' commie .... /8^) ... )
But I've concluded, because of some deep thinking in the last few weeks .... a very large percentage of citizens have no idea what an American is
I rejected Catholicism because I analyzed it and now attend a Baptist church as a born again Christian .... all because of thought processes excersized conciously many years ago
Perhaps it should be part and parcel of HS graduation, a signed affidavit explaining if they are Republican, Democrat or other (explain) and why do they consider themselves American

All I need to know about what the Bible says about “Left” and “Right” is that little passage somewhere about “Thou shalt not steal”

You learn something new everyday. I did not know that the Bible mentioned the French National Assembly of the 1790’s. Which book was that in. Was Danton and Marat mentioned also.

So here we have a group of people that want to steal from others and share it among their group in one purse. Sounds like basic socialist doctrine to me.
If more people would study their Bible instead of quipping God isn't a Republican or a Democrat they would find many conservative principles in the Bible.
Proverbs 22:28 "Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set."
Proverbs 23:10 "Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless: For their redeemer is mighty; he shall plead their cause with thee."
That might have some implications on eminent domain and the death tax.
II Thessalonians 3:10 "For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat."

Proverbs 20:18 "Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war."
Proverbs 24:5-6 "A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety."
Sounds like good foreign policy to me. I could go on and point out that a flat tax is Biblical, but I'll stop here. Darned if I understand Liberal Christians.
