Too many "Americans" identify as such merely because they were born here .... like those Presbyterians that go to a Presbyterian church because ... well ... that was where mom asnd dad went, so ....

Or drive a Ford because .... well ... Dad always drove a Ford, so ....

or votes Democrat because, well .... Mom and dad were Democrats ... an; gra'maw an' gram'pap were democrats, so ....

We here in FR have for the most part, analyzed ourselves and actually DO know who and what we are ... and why ... (and we REALLY know all about YOU, you stinkin' commie .... /8^) ... )

But I've concluded, because of some deep thinking in the last few weeks .... a very large percentage of citizens have no idea what an American is

I rejected Catholicism because I analyzed it and now attend a Baptist church as a born again Christian .... all because of thought processes excersized conciously many years ago

Perhaps it should be part and parcel of HS graduation, a signed affidavit explaining if they are Republican, Democrat or other (explain) and why do they consider themselves American
