The Philadelphia Eagles have signed Tim Tebow to a one-year deal.
The 27-year-old quarterback joins three other signal callers, Sam Bradford, Matt Barkley, and Mark Sanchez, likely competing for three roster spots. The line behind center in Philadelphia may be long. But its not terribly accomplished, allowing Tebow a solid chance to make the team and, unlike his try in New England, to enjoy an opportunity on the field should injuries or ineptitude result from Bradford or Sanchez starting.
Bradford, the top man on the depth chart, endured injuries and struggled to live up to his potential in St. Louis before the Rams traded him for Nick Foles this offseason. Mark Sanchez enjoyed early success in New York before several terrible seasons, including one in which Tebow held the clipboard all season waiting in vain for his chance. Matt Barkley, like Sanchez a USC product, has played in just four NFL games during his two years in the league.

yea or nay on Tebow’s arm, this will be fun. Waitin for the haters.
This guy is an inspiration. I have no illusions that he’ll be a star, but who knows? God is good.
I am now officially an Eagles fan!
You have to admire his perseverance.
I hope he can find a way to make it work.
I wish him luck. Hopefully an innovative guy like Chip Kelly can utilize his athleticism and find him a niche.
Tebow was a winner with Denver. Seems that it is politically correct to overlook that fact.
Two years of working with coaches to correct his technique may pay off. Work ethic: it could very well make the difference. I hope it pays off for him.
Go Chip Kelly
Be honest I just hoped Eagles fan be nice to Tim here
You know how Eagles fans are RIGHT
I pray for Tim Tebow. I hope that he continues serves as an excellent example to all of the power of faithfulness, in the good times and the not-so-good times.
I am afraid what Eagles fans thinks right now
Just sayin
Yep....hopefully the specialized training will pay off. I wish him the very best.
Don’t forget, the Eagles have Riley Cooper as a wide receiver. Cooper was Tebow’s top target when he was a Florida Gator.
I can predict it now. Sanchez will start, will either stink it up, or go down with injury.
Tebow will step in and win a bunch of games, through sheer grit and determination. They haters will come out even stronger saying he’s got “bad mechanics...”
This Eagles fan is excited right now. I don’t have high expectations but if he makes the team and plays hard I think his character and work ethnic might make him a viable role player. I am guessing he will be a 3rd string QB and Chip Kelly may come up with a package of plays for him..
I hope it goes down just like you described.
