A lot of progressives and libertarians (same difference) collect in conspiracy kookland where Alex resides. They buy every lie out of Russia’s and Iran’s publications against the US. They are very easily fooled and led by Muslims which explains the anti-Jew thing they do (they are told Jews are behind everything bad in the world). They are anti-US and anti-Israel, in my opinion.

Bingo...don't throw out the baby with the bath water. (My pastor gave a sermon last Sunday that incorporated the Haldron Collider into a presentation on Revelation...do I kick him to the curb as a 'nutter'?)
It's not enough to simply "not be anti-Semitic." One must be for the Jewish People as the People chosen by the One True G-d ("pluralism" and "diversity" don't count).
Walter Williams once wrote an extremely anti-Israel opinion piece for Human Events. Human Events (like the rest of the non-Fundamentalist American Conservative movement) once wrote an article attacking the late Rabbi Me'ir Kahana' (zt"l; Hy"d), as though he were some trouble-making left wing minority "community leader." Pure insanity.
I cannot prove it, but I simply cannot shake the feeling that Williams is an atheist. All he every writes about is economics, and free market economic beliefs are not an indicator of piety (see Ayn Rand and Murray Rothbard as just two examples).

In the early days of Free Republic, back in the days of A+Bert, Ash Alerts, Classy Green-Eyed Blondes and other legends, we had a lot of this type of anti-Jewish posts.
A+Bert was especially fond of bringing up the USS Liberty on every post about Israel, for example. Others posted extensively about the Rothschild’s financing Clinton, or destroying economies, and would post about others with Jewish sounding names and how awful they were. The truth was that some of those being named WERE awful—awful Liberal, Leftwing and Totalitarian. But when you only concentrate on the Jews among the Left, or categorically state that the Russian Bolsheviks were all—and exclusively—Jewish, then eventually you got banned.
When 9/11 happened, the Michael Rivero and Alex Jones types here really went into deep conspiracy crazy, saying it was a Mossad operation, for example,and most of those remaining were banned.
Free Republic has become more evangelical Christian over the years, and the support of Israel has correspondedly grown.
Frankly I see nothing wrong in that. The fact that Israel has Bedouins as members of the Knesset while no Arab nation has a single Jew in their legislatures prove to me Israel is the only representative democracy in the Middle East, and we certainly should be their friends for religious, cultural, and political reasons. The boycott movement is in full swing now from the left.
Israel has no better friend than the evangelic Christian, imho.
