There are a bunch of these deluxe editions from various publishers: Heritage Press, Franklin Library, Easton Press, and Barnes & Noble have all published their own edition of Dune.

The Folio Society publishes high quality books?
I have not read Dune, but will buy this version.

I posted some of illustrations. The Folio Society do not make books for people who take them to the beach to read. The Folio Society combines art with literature with forwards and introduction from other famous authors.

Good story....also a long and engaging movie.
Maybe we could get them to publish a decked-out Cruz as “Kwisatz Haderach” in full desert Fremen suit.

Liked the first book.
Didn’t like the sequels.
And the 1984 movie was one of the worst scifi movies of all times.

the movies are impossible to comprehend without having read the book. too much inner dialogue in the book.
To: beebuster2000
When I saw the movie in 1984 at the theatre I was given an 8 x 11 1/2 to explain the set up.

I take issue with that. I know that are some freepers who are interested books and movies related to a particular subject. I get nothing in return for posting this.

As far as I’m concerned there can’t be enough deluxe editions of this book.

“The 84 movie just blew”
To me, it looked like the budget was radically cut 1/3 of the way into the movie. I was very disappointed by the movie!
