It's a bit surprising to me that his wife was already named Theodora and yet herself had to "convert" to become Orthodox.

To be one of the best in the NFL, and yet not live for the NFL, that is a blessing beyond most blessings, and I am sure he already understands that.

Didn't get a chance to watch very many Steeler games during his career, but Polamalu always reminded me of a throwback-type player the way he played/respected the game.

100% effort...every play, every game.

Surprised he has lasted this long, the way he has used his body as a missile for so many years. Hope he remains healthy for a long life. He will be greatly missed - one of the great players that rose above the bland sameness of the NFL.
