In 50 years people will ask “Kanye who?” His music will be played once or twice a month. People will still be talking about Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Janice Joplin, Journey, Boston and countless other bands that produce music, not words strung together. His kid(s) probably won’t have a
dime to spend that they either haven’t had given to them by the government or, God Forbid, they work for.
Jay Z, Kanye West, 50Cents are all flash in the pan noise makers. What they produce is more noise than music. Rhyming words while ridiculing others(women, police, etc.) isn’t art, it is just bad poetry.
he was raised in a middle-class family... his mother was an English professor... after high school he received a scholarship to study art, but later transferred to Chicago State University to study English... for years he was denied a recording contract because he did not fit the gangsta image... he had done a lot of producing... his background was not like typical rappers...
He’s a talentless hack whose ego far outshines his abilities, which, in my mind, amount to zero.
